Taking care of your jewellery every day
Jewellery, whether gold, silver or set with precious stones, is sensitive to external stresses. Repeated contact with cosmetics, household products or exposure to pollution can alter their brilliance.

Avoid contact with chemicals: Chlorine, perfumes, creams and household products can tarnish your jewellery and alter its surface. It is advisable to remove your jewellery before applying these products.

Protect your jewellery from knocks and scratches: Rubbing against each other can cause scratches, particularly on silver pieces and those set with precious stones. To limit these risks, avoid wearing them in a heap, especially on your wrists or neck.

Remove your jewellery for certain activities: When doing household chores, playing sport, or swimming in the sea or pool, it's best not to wear your jewellery. Chlorinated water, salt and grains of sand can alter the shine and surface of the metal.

Store your jewellery properly: When you're not wearing it, store it individually in a case or soft fabric pouch, away from damp to prevent oxidation, especially silver jewellery.

Take care of pearls and organic stones: These materials are sensitive to acidic and alkaline products. Pearls, for example, need to be moisturised in contact with air and should not be kept for too long in an airtight box, as they may dry out.
