Jewellery Collection 2018-2019

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday... a planet, a color, an emotion, and a ring for each day of the week. Marc Deloche used this as the foundation of his 2018-2019 jewelry collection, number 5, creating something special for each day of the week.

Titre description EN

Who is looking at whom? Might the ring be looking at the woman or is the woman looking at her ring? A mystery! What is sure however, is that these impressive gold rings, inspired by the enormous cocktail rings of the Prohibition era - designed to draw the eye to the one holding the illicit glass - are unmissable. Marc Deloche pays tribute to this story in his Number 5 collection with 7 impressive rings. “They are one of the only forms of jewelry to entail the wearer with a special, intimate, almost sensual relationship intertwined with the piece itself. But they are also fun, observes the creator from Toulouse. They deserve a specifically dedicated collection. The seven rings were created based on the seven days of the week, and I drew inspiration from the associated planets and colors”

Monday

Lunae dies. The Moon dominates today and is a source of energy for our emotions, our creativity and our intuition. Monday’s color pallet of white, sky blue, pale yellow reflects the dawn that both calms and excites much like this ring in white gold. The groves on the surface seem to have been cut directly from the Moon herself and enhance the greenish blue hue of the 27.06-carat beryl, which surreptitiously sparkles in contact with the surrounding cluster of diamonds.

Ring

Monday

White gold ring
1 oval beryl, total weight of 27.06 carats 5 diamonds, total weight of 0.8 carats Total weight : 77.31 grams

Tuesday

Martis dies. Mars is the master today, the all-conquering warrior spirit. Tuesday is the day of action. Clothed in red and gold, the second ring in the collection is built like a fortress in rose gold topped with a rectangular crown of diamonds. The polished mirror plateau encases an oval 4.18-carat rubellite in an intense, astounding fuchsia. It boldly sounds out a declaration, one of love obviously.

Ring

Wednesday

Mercurii dies. Mercury governs the destiny of Wednesday. It is a planet that encourages exchanges, writing, and personal expression and influences our changing mood. In yellow and white gold the Wednesday ring glimmers on the hand, with a duo of conjoined chrysoprases like an asymmetric two headed Janus. The calming green they exude compliments the body of the ring that is comfortable and organic, just asking the wearer to play with their hands.

Ring

Wednesday

Yellow and white gold ring
2 chrysoprase cabochons, 14 mm and 16 mm in diameter
Total weight : 45 grams

Thursday

Joivs dies. Jupiter reigns supreme and yellow is his color, the color of the king, the father, the spirit. The Thursday ring holds within it all the attributes of power. We might even have confused it with a bishop’s ring had Marc Deloche not kept just its core essence. The piece is made of a Byzantine cross in bright yellow gold and inlaid with the iridescent heart of an Ethiopian opal. The whole thing, created using openwork, seems to float in the middle of a quartet of chalcedonies and yellow sapphires. A circle of skin appears, as if drawn, on the two phalanxes of the finger.

Ring

Thursday

Yellow gold ring
1 Ethiopian opal cabochon 240 mm x 172 mm
2 yellow sapphires, 6 mm diameter, total weight of 1.8 carats
2 chalcedony cabochons, 7.4 mm in diameter

Friday

Veneris dies. The day dedicated to the goddess Venus is imbibed with pleasure, sensitivity and harmony. In tones of pink, blue and pale green, the Friday ring celebrates promises made and unions to come. Heralding future joy, this XXL ring is an explosion of rose gold housing pastel cultured gemstones. Sugar almond sapphires, raspberry tourmalines, turquoise apatites, all boldly announce freedom and carefreeness making subtle allusion to 1950s design.

Ring

Friday

Rose gold ring
6 pink oval sapphires 70 mm x 50 mm, total weight of 5.70 carats
2 oval tourmalines 71 mm x 51 mm, total weight of 1.41 carats

Saturday

Sambati dies. Saturn governs Saturday, the day of aesthetes. The depth of the black, the starkness of the navy blue, the sobriety of the brown in the ring encapsulates this love of beauty. In white and yellow gold, it is a signet ring for a true anchorite completely dedicated to ascetics. Its lines meander, leading us to a pure, polished navy-blue surface in which our eyes get caught and our thoughts lost. A simple but powerful ring.

Ring

Saturday

Palladium white gold ring Total weight : 61.70 grams

Sunday

Domenica dies. With the Sun watching over today, this ring is filled with the joy of finding oneself. Its spectacular dome of interwoven gold is reminiscent of summer haystacks from which, when looked at in in profile, escape perfectly cut ears of wheat. The harvest was impressive with an intense 2.65-carat yellow sapphire at its heart surrounded by a garland of brilliant diamonds.

Ring

Sunday

Yellow and white gold ring
1 yellow sapphire, total weight of 2.65 carats
